Draught limitation in the channel is 8.5m.
No 2 Area which contains Yahata Basin, is entered E of Katsura Shima and extends 1nm S. It has depths from 5.5-10.2m. Okudokai Fairway, a buoyed channel, leads from the entrance to Yahata Basin through No 1 Area to the head of the harbour.
Restrictions
Entry or sailing after sunset permissible for vessels with LOA 115m or less (without pilot); or vessels with LOA 130m or less (with pilot onboard).
Tugs
There are 2 tugs available; 1 x 3,520hp, 1 x 2,000hp.
