Unye Korfezi is entered SE of Taskana Burnu. This point is fringed by a reef with depth is of less than 10m extending of 2.5nm offshore. The harbour is approached from the open sea to the pilot boarding position.
Anchorages
There are three anchorages available from Taskana Burna Light:
Area No 1: 5.5nm ESE.
Area No 2: 7.5nm WNW, long term anchorage.
Area No 3: 4nm WNW, for quarantine vessels and vessels carrying dangerous cargo.
Tugs
There are tugs available and compulsory for vessels over 2,000GT.
