Port limits
The limits of the port enclose the SBM, the production platforms and the anchorage.

Restrictions
Weather conditions may prevent berthing, this is the case when wind speed exceeds 25kts. Vessels will then remain in the anchorage area until weather improves.
Maximum weather condition for keeping the vessel on SBM is 40kts.
The above conditions are only for guidance and are not relevant to safety of the vessel but to the safety of the buoy.
The mooring master shall have the authority to decide whether the ship should remain or vacate the buoy.
Tugs
There are 2 tugs of 1,000hp are available to assist for hose operation and they are equipped for anti pollution operations. One fire fighting tug available on standby basis all the time during loading operations.
During mooring the vessel, the mooring boats stationed at the buoy area will handle vessel's rope.
Mooring
Vessels are moored on a SBM located 2.3nm off Ras Budran offshore, flare on bearing 260°.
The company Mooring Master will advise the vessel's Master of regulations to avoid hazards.
When the Mooring Master boards, he will advise on the approach to the SBM, arrangements for mooring and unmooring, connecting of the hoses and all other operations within the mooring area.
The Mooring Master will submit and receive from the Master all forms, documents and papers required to be filled and signed by the Master.
Mooring equipment available and will be delivered when Mooring Master boards the vessel. Speed shall be subject to the prevailing forces (wind, current and tidal stream). Vessels will have assistance from mooring boats stationed at the buoy. A vessel can make the final approach and moor to buoy from any direction in accordance with prevailing forces at the location.
Once moored, the vessel if free to weather vane through 360° under the influence of the prevailing forces.
A deck officer must be on the forecastle of the time that the Mooring Master boards the vessel and until the vessel if finally moored.
Vessel's engine must be ready with full power for immediate use during the time moored at the SBM.
During connection and/or disconnecting the hoses, a responsible officer should attend the operation.
