Restrictions

Berthing of tankers is carried out during daylight hours only. Prior notice must be given to the harbour authority by vessels intending to leave during the hours of darkness.

Military Quay: A restricted area extending 0.1nm surrounds the Military Quay situated in the south part of the harbour next to the yacht harbour.

Tugs

2 x 2,200hp, 1 x 1,125hp, 1 x 900hp available. If berthing at the offshore tanker berths, or entering the commercial harbour, vessels are required to employ 1 tug if over 500GT or 2 tugs if over 4,000GT.

The port offers a sheltered port, protected by two breakwaters 1,140m and 650m long. The distance between the two is 250m. Port Akdeniz is a port of entry, importing fertilizers, coal and raw MDF. Exports include cement, marble, chrome, aluminium hydrate and ingots.
