There may be a cross current running off the entrance which can affect steering.

Deepest first. The draught is the largest any of the terminal's berths states; a dash means the source gives none.
Approach
updated Feb 2017Approach
The entrance channel to Nekso, commercial basin, S basin and the channel leading to it, all have a depth of 5.0m. The entrance channel lies between a breakwater and a mole, both lying in a NE-SW direction.
Directions: Vessels enter the harbour with the leading lights:
Front Light, a white framework tower, 8.0m in height (55°03.8'N 015°08.2'E) and the Rear Light on the gable of a building, 110m from front light. The alignment (232°) of these lights leads from seaward through the entrance channel to the basins. Two lights are exhibited from the S mole.
It is advisable to moor alongside dolphins which are situated in the entrance off the inner end of the S breakwater until a berth is allocated. There are bollards on the breakwater.
Port closed signal:
When entry into the port is prohibited, a black ball is hoisted on a flagstaff at the harbour. At night, three red lights (vertically disposed) are exhibited from a white silo, 160m W of the N mole head.
Anchorages
Nekso Red (55°03.8'N 015°09'E) is the best anchorage for large vessels on the E coast of Bornholm as there is a lower swell than at other places.
Prohibited anchorage: A submarine cable is laid across the rocky bottom of the entrance channel, 60m from the head of the N mole: the landing place is marked by a notice board. Anchoring is prohibited in the vicinity of the cable.
Tugs
The pilot boat can be used as a tug if required.
