The channel is marked with 18 buoys that are lit at night, odd numbers to W, even numbers to E, with an outside waiting area. Depth in both the access channel and the outside waiting areas is 15.0m.

Breakwaters: The West Breakwater is 1,640m in length with 140m land based and 1,500m sea based area. The East Breakwater is 750m in length with 200m land based and 550m sea based area. Both breakwaters are made of stacked artificial acrobod piles topped with a concrete head.

Turning Dock: The turning dock diameter is 500m with 14.5m depth at the container berth, and 12.0m depth at the general cargo berth.

Gas Anchorage: An anchorage area for gas tankers is established, centred on 31°42.2'N 031°38.1'E, with a radius of 1nm.

Anchorage is also possible inside the turning basin in unfavourable weather conditions.
