Anchorages

Good anchorage may be obtained in depths of 22.0-26.0m sand and mud.

The mining company's vessel generally anchors close S of the pier and this berth should be left clear in its absence. Landing is often impracticable during strong S winds and the anchorage is then untenable.

Restrictions

The distance from the waterline to hatch top should not exceed 9.75m.

Between Nov and May, S'ly winds may make the berth untenable.
