ECDIS route converter
NaviBoss converts ship routes between 35 route formats, both directions: every major ECDIS and chartplotter on the bridge, RTZ and GPX, weather routing and office files. More than any voyage planner we know of. Importing is free: drop in a file and the route is on the chart.

Questions officers ask
Is there a free ECDIS route converter online?
NaviBoss imports a route file from any of 35 formats free, with an account, and shows it on the chart. Exporting to another format is included for the first 7 days, then needs a plan. It runs in the browser: nothing to install on a ship's PC.
How do I convert an RTZ file to GPX (or GPX to RTZ)?
Drop the file into NaviBoss, check the route on the chart, press Export and pick the other format. The same works between any two of the 35 formats, for example JRC to Furuno or Transas to RTZ.
Which ECDIS makes does NaviBoss support?
Furuno, JRC, Kongsberg, Sperry Marine, Transas, Wärtsilä NACOS, SIMRAD, SevenCs, SAM Electronics, MECys, TOTEM, Chart Pilot and BridgeMate, plus RTZ, GPX, MaxSea, Bon Voyage, SPOS, KML and spreadsheets: 35 formats, both directions. That is more than any voyage planner we know of.
Will the converted route load on my ECDIS?
Each format says how sure we are: 13 of the 35 are checked against real ECDIS files, a real export or the maker's manual; the rest say "not checked yet" and ask for a sample. Always check the route on the ECDIS after loading it.
Can I open a route file without an ECDIS?
Yes. NaviBoss draws any of the 35 formats on a chart in the browser, with every waypoint, leg, distance and turn radius, so you can check a route sent from the office or another ship.

NaviBoss guides are written and checked by maritime industry experts, masters and deck officers. Each one is built from the same data the planner uses, dated, and rebuilt when that data changes. Spotted something wrong? Tell us on the feedback board.
A planning aid, not for navigation. Always check an imported route on the ECDIS against the official charts before you use it.
