Approach

The harbour lies between Isla Caffereta, which is joined to the river bank above the town by a mole and the SW bank abreast the town. The port is reached by an access channel approx 2km in length, which usually has depths of 7.6 to 7.9m.
Anchorages
An anchorage for vessels waiting to berth is situated off Puerto Acevedo, 1.0nm SE of the harbour.
Restrictions
Masthead height is subject to clearances of bridges downriver.
Tugs
One tug available for berthing/unberthing at Terminal II. One tug of 1,850hp is stationed at Villa Constitucion. No tugs are permitted or needed for vessel's calling at Puerto Acevedo and its connected berth's.
