Approach

The entrance is formed by two almost parallel concrete moles of 303m and 420m lengths. It is 40m in width and has a max depth of 6.0m. The main fairway to the inner port is 28m in width.

Directions: From the roadstead, steer 153° with Ustka Lighthouse ahead until the entrance is clearly visible, when a course midway between the moles should be steered.

A compass check may be obtained by observing the transit formed by the church tower in line with the lighthouse bearing 154°.

In heavy onshore gales, entry into harbour should not be attempted on account of the heavy swell strong coastal current, heavy breakers and narrow entrance. If the weather is so stormy that entry becomes dangerous or impossible, the appropriate signal from the "International Code of Signals" will be displayed at the signal mast close E of the pilot's lookout.

Port limits

The roadstead of the harbour is bounded by a 1.5 miles long radius vector, it's centre being at the lead light of the E breakwater, from the eastward border of the Area No 6 to the coastline.
