The port is located at the Otkrytiy Cape of the Bezzashchitnaya Bay in the Shkotovsky District of the Primorsky Territory, Russia.

The port

The port provides year-round navigation and is used for the transhipment of coal from the Sugodinsk-Ogodzhinsky coal deposit to foreign partners and domestic consumers in the Pacific region.

Port Vera was scheduled to handle 20 million tonnes of coal per year, however, coal production from Russian ports declined following the start of 2024. It is also reported that the port is up for sale.
