The harbour is protected from NW by an outer mole extending NE. A light (green metal column on round pedestal, 5m in height) is exhibited from the head. Work to extend the mole has been suspended and a lightbuoy is moored 150m E of the head. A short inner mole extends from the shore SE of the outer mole head. Navigation between the lightbuoy and the inner mole is prohibited.
The entrance faces ENE and has a depth of 20.0m.
Anchorages
Can be found W of the Outer Mole in depths of 40m, good holding ground.
Caution: Mariners should note the area containing outfall pipelines to the W and E of the harbour.
