Vessels should send request for pilots at least 12 hours in advance of arrival and confirm at least 5 hours in advance. Pilot boards 2nm S of Landsort Lighthouse (58°44'N 017°52'E) or near Nynashamn Approach Lightbuoy (58°45'N 018°11'E) for deep draught vessels. The pilots have one ice going cutter, speed 10kts and a fast cutter, speed 20kts.
For pilots to Hasselby boarding position is in the Sodertalje Lock.

There is a depth of 9.9m in the fairway to Sodertalje port and 7.9m in the fairway to Sodertalje Lock.
