Draught limitation in the channel is 6.4m.

Anchorages

Small vessels can anchor 0.75nm NE of Shidao in depths of 6.4 to 6.7m and on the E part of the bay about 0.3nm NW of the E entrance point, in similar depths. The bay affords good shelter with N winds and depths in it shelve gradually.

Anchorage can also be obtained 1 to 2.5nm offshore to the SW of the entrance to Shidao harbour, in depths of 14.6 to 18.3m.

Restrictions

Entry and departure is permitted during daylight hours only.

Tugs

Four tugs, 2 x 2,600HP, 1 x 3,600HP and 1 x 4,000HP available.
