The approach channel leads NNE to pass close off the breakwater head and is marked by port and starboard hand lightbuoys. Entrance Lightbuoy is moored 1.75nm SSW of the breakwater head.

Situated 2.5nm S and 2.5nm SW of Ko I Lao. The quarantine anchorage is 1.25nm W of Ko Chuang.
