The approach channel has a width of 91.5m and a depth of 9.1m MLW.
Redwood Creek is entered through a channel with a project depth of 9.1m (reported depth 7.6m), the mouth of which is 3.5nm ESE of Little Coyote Point. The channel has a width of 90m and is marked on its W side by light beacons (starboard hand) and on its E side by a lightbuoy and light beacons (port hand). A fog signal is sounded from No 2 Light Beacon situated 1nm N of Redwood Point (37°32'N 122°11'W).
The channel SSW of Redwood Point is marked by lights and beacons as far as the municipal wharves at the port of Redwood City (37°30'N 122°13'W), 3.5nm S of No 2 Light Beacon.
Restrictions
An overhead power cable, with a clearance of 47m crosses the waterway 0.8nm SSW of Redwood Point.
