The safest entrance to the harbour, approx 0.1nm wide lies between Hrid Barbaran and the head of the breakwater. At night the white sector (062°-153°) of Hrid Barbaran Light affords safe navigation to this entrance.
Anchorages
Outer anchorage: Vessels too large to enter Luka Porec may obtain anchorage W or NW of Hrid Barbaran in 22-24m, mud, good holding ground.
Prohibited anchorage: Anchorage is prohibited in the centre of the harbour and it's entrances.

Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI):
Croatia has signed a PSI ship boarding agreement with the USA aimed at stemming the flow of weapons of mass destruction. If a US or Croatia flagged vessel is suspected of trafficking proliferation related cargo, either party to this agreement can request authorisation to board, search and possibly detain the others vessel and its cargo.
