The harbour is entered through a narrow channel between two moles, situated approx 0.2nm E of the mouth of Fiume Foglia and consists of an inlet, closed at its S end, with two basins on its W side. There is no access between the inlet and Fiume Foglia.
Caution: Within a radius of about 0.2nm of the harbour entrance there are shoals over which the depth of water is changed by gales.
Port limits
Port limits extend to seaward for a distance of 1,000m from the light near the head of the E mole between the bearings of 090° and 210° through N.
