Pampus channel has a dredged depth of 12.7m. Lindokanalen, dredged to a depth of 9.0m, leads from the SW end of the channel through Pampusfjarden for approx 2nm to the quays at Norrkoping.

Restrictions
Tankers: Tankers loaded with over 10,000t of gasoline, and tankers over 15,000DWT are not shifted or berthed in the port during darkness.
Bascule Bridge: Handelobron Road and rail bridge at the S end of Handelo Island, has a 30m wide navigational opening span. Commercial vessels may use the bridge at any time, giving 1 hour notice to SOS Central, Stockholm. The bridge can be contacted by VHF.
