Approach

Directions for Namlea Roads: Vessels must not pass too close to the N entrance point of Teluk Kayeli close S of which lie 2 x 1.8m patches. A clump of high trees stands on the slope of the hill close W of these patches and on a clear night affords a mark which may be used until the pierhead light is seen.

Anchorages

Anchorage may be obtained in a depth of 20.0m approx 0.5nm WSW of the pierhead, also on the N side of a 4.6m patch lying 0.45nm W of the pierhead, and on the SE side of a 2.4m patch 0.5nm SW of the pierhead.

Restrictions

Berthing and unberthing is during daylight hours only.

ISPS compliance: The US Coast Guard has determined (12/2012) that the Republic of Indonesia is now maintaining effective anti-terrorism measures in their ports. The Republic of Indonesia is removed from the list of the Countries Affected in paragraph B of the Port Security Advisory.
