Vessels depart from Munguba at LW to arrive at Paga Dividas, (01°08'S 052°13'W), the shallowest part of the River Jari, at HW. The time taken from Munguba to the mouth of the River Jari is approx 5.5 hours.
The depth of the river at Paga Dividas is sounded by the pilot with a hand lead line while the vessel is loading at Munguba. From these depths the draught to which the vessel can load safely is ascertained.
