From a position near the Outer Fairway Lightbuoy (starboard hand) the alignment (233°) of beacons in the town, leads into the harbour. Then follow the channels through the inner harbour, which are marked by leading marks and buoys.

Anchorage is available as convenient in the bay, depths 14.0-18.0m, or in the inner harbour with depths of 11.0-13.0m, but space is confined.
