Marine Services are offered 24/7, with a 'one-stop-shop' booking facility for all ship and ship-side requirements, including Pilot services. A computer driven harbour management system means that as soon as a shipâs agent notifies intended movements, information relating to the size and operation of the vessel, arrival and departure dates and other preliminary details are used to generate a picture of the shipâs requirements. Large bulk vessels may be boarded by helicopter. The Harbour Master may exempt Masters of certain vessels from pilotage, taking into consideration the competency of the Master and the length of the vessel.
