Approach

Lundu entrance lies between Tanjong Banadang and Tanjong Sireh, situated, respectively 2nm SW and 1.5nm SSE of Lundu. The entrance is fronted by a bar with a least depth of 0.3m.

A vessel entering the river should follow the line of the leading beacons on 214.5° until the front beacon is at a distance of 1.75nm when the course should then be altered to S, and the channel followed.

The leading beacons are as follows:

Front: White triangular topmark, 6m in height.

Rear: Same topmark, 8m in height.

They stand 1.75nm SW of Tanjong Sireh.

Initial ETA should be sent 4-5 days prior to arrival followed by daily updates. The message should include date and time of arrival, vessel's location and Master's requirements.
