Approach

Directions for entering harbour: From a position on the coastal route the track leads SSE, passing ENE of Snegi Madal, and WSW of Pohja-Uhtja and Louna-Uhtja, to the alignment 161.5° of the Kunda Leading Lights, leads towards the entrance channel. The route leads SSE between two buoys (E and W cardinal), marking shoal areas extending 1.5nm NE from Toolse Neem. The track enters channel marked by buoys (lateral) which leads to a turning area E of the berth, which is on the E side of the mole. Length of the entrance to the port is 2225m, width is 70m and minimal depth is 10m.

Kunda may also be approached from E of Louna-Uhtja.

Anchorages

Anchorage areas are established in the vicinity of the Fairway Buoy, on either side of the leading line. Vessels may anchor in depths of 13.0-15.0m, sand.

Vessels with a draught of 4.0m, anchor 0.5nm NNE of the quay in depths of 5.5m, mud and sand.
