In year 2014, Petronas constructed Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) at Kimanis which mainly handles the production of oil and gas from the West Coast Field in South China Sea. The fields include Gumusut / Kakap, Kinabalu Deep and East, Kebabangan and Malikai.
