Approach

From the mouth of the river up to the port is dredged channel, depths 4.2m during neap tides and 5.5m during spring tides. Access to the port is over a bar, the depth varies from 2.9-5.50m, spring tides. The river has an approx width of 240m.

Anchorages

Good anchorage is found off the entrance, sand bottom.

Restrictions

Entry and departure can take place at HW and day time only. Vessels must wait outside the port entrance for the tide.

Between Nov-Apr port is closed to navigation total of 5-7 individual days, due to weather conditions.
