Approach
updated Apr 2016Anchorages
Anchorage may be obtained in a depth of 27.0m, sand and clay and good holding ground, in the middle of the cove, but Stakkur should be kept open E of Brennunipa. It is necessary to moor, and anchors should be laid WNW and ESE. During winds from NNE to SE, which blow very hard into the cove, the anchorage becomes dangerous. In NE gales there is a danger of being driven on to the rocks and therefore the cove should be avoided.
