Directions for entering harbour:
From a position approx 3nm S of Akra Katakola Light the track leads 4nm NNE to the pilot boarding place in Ormos Katakolou, passing (with positions from Akra Katakolo Light (37°38'N 021°19'E):
ESE of Akra Katakolo (0.4nm SSW). A 1.8m shoal lies approx 0.1nm SSE and a sewer outfall extends 270m SSW from the point. Then, ESE of Akra Katakolo Light. Approach from south: Akra Katakolou should be passed at a distance of not less than 0.5nm.
Entering harbour: A dredged channel, width approx 250m and leading SW, is entered between the head of the S breakwater, on which is exhibited a light (metal framework tower on pedestal, elevation 10m), and a green conical buoy, moored approx 300m NNW, which is the NE of 3 similar buoys marking the NW edge of the channel dredged to 10.0m.
