The anchorage, in depths of 13.0-14.0m, good holding ground, is on the intersection of the approach leading line, and the alignment (007°) of a pair of beacons, front beacon (yellow, disc topmark, 3m in height), rear beacon (yellow, rectangle topmark, 3m in height), standing 0.1nm N of the town. This anchorage is untenable in N winds.
Temporary anchorage is obtainable with local knowledge, in the lee of a small projection near Grof Farm, 2.75nm S of Anastadhir, in depths of 29-40m, sand. This anchorage cannot be used in N winds.
