Approach
updated Aug 2016Approach
Approach to the anchorage or to the port of Greenville may be made between Kennedy Rocks and Stevens Rock, with the light structure at the head of the jetty bearing approx 059°.
A vessel entering the harbour should give the head of the jetty a berth of at least 100m, as depths of less than 5.0m exist within this distance of the jetty head.
Anchorages
Anchorage may be obtained approx 1.0nm W of Blubarra Point, in a depth of approx 13.0-15.0m. The bottom is generally composed of stiff black sand and mud, however there are several foul patches.
During the rainy season (Apr-Nov) a heavy swell is liable to occur, forcing vessels to anchor in the bay.
