Fujin is located on the S bank of the lower reaches of the Songhua River of the Heilong River system, between ports of Jiamusi and Tongjiang.
The port
The port is located in the centre of Sanjiang Plain and is managed by Hejiang Shipping Administration Bureau.
It has a land area of 45,000m² and a water area of 1,200,000m² with 7 berths.
The main cargoes handled in the port are timber, coal, grain, ore material and cargo for foreign trade.
Traffic
Approx 485,000t of cargo and 250,000 passengers are handled annually.
