FLNG 'Prelude' is located at Prelude field, approximately 475km NNE of Broome in Western Australia.

The port

FLNG 'Prelude' is a floating hydrocarbon (LNG, LPG and Condensate) production, storage and offtake

facility.

Facility can produce 3.6million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, 1.49mtpa of condensate and 0.4mtpa of LPG. The vessel structure is 488m long and 74m wide, making it the largest offshore floating facility ever built. The facility's storage tanks, located below the deck, can store up to 220,000m³ of LNG, 90,000m³ of LPG and 126,000m³ of condense. Shell has 67.5% interest in Prelude. Partners include Inpex Corporation with a 17.5% stake, Korea Gas Corporation with 10%, and CPC Corporation with 5%.

The FLNG 'Prelude' facility is in close proximity to FPSO 'Ichthys Venturer' (see separate entry). Both projects draw from separate fields, Prelude and Ichthys respectively, but could share gas at a reservoir which may straddle both Fields depending on the positioning and timing of the Projects' separate drilling programmes.
