updated May 2010Pilotage is compulsory for vessels over 200GT and they require 12 hours notice. The boarding and disembarkation of pilots takes place near the Reception Buoy in the vicinity of Karantinniy Cape. Pilot boards at the Quarantine Cape Lightbuoy, when there is a rough sea and gales.

Anchorages
Anchorage No 382 is situated 1.1nm SE of the Karantinniy Cape and is protected from NW winds. Depths are between 11.4m and 12.4m, bottom sand and shells, available for vessels up to 10.0m draught.
Tugs
Tugs available. For vessels up to 500GT 1 x 1,200hp tug is compulsory. For vessels above 500GT 2 tugs are compulsory. Request should be made 2 hours before arrival, stating the number of tugs required.
