The port of Binhai is located on the lower reaches of the Subei Irrigation Canal and Zhongshan River. There are waterways joining the Sheyang River which extends to the Yellow Sea.
The port
The port of Binhai will handle the transportation of coal for Binhai Power Plant of the Huadong Power Network and the movement of other cargoes for industrial and agricultural production of the nearby area.
The main import cargoes to be handled are coal, petroleum, ore materials and agricultural production materials. The main export cargoes are salt, grain and general cargo.
