Backviken is located on the E coast of Ven, facing Landskrona, in the Oresund Channel between Sweden and Denmark.
The port
The small harbour is home to a Ro-Ro service, a small fishing fleet and private yachts. The harbour entrance, facing NE, is protected by two moles and a detached breakwater. The Ro-Ro ferry ramps are located either side of the N mole.
